Oops!

I almost forgot. I ran 30 minutes again this morning. I took two 30-second walk breaks. It actually went fairly well but it was a little hot. I'm getting nervous for the heat of summer. What do all you runners out there do to keep cool when it's in the 90's and you're running several miles? Am I just overheating because I'm just getting used to running or does everybody feel like that when they're running in the hot sun?

My 6-mile run this morning at 6 AM was in 90 degree weather. I just make sure I'm hydrating, that's about all I can do.

I am thinking I might go do a group run this Tuesday evening, which means the temperature will probably be 110+. I'm hoping I can handle that heat okay, I guess I'll have to wait and see!

Hydration is a key (as mentioned by Jill). Also, the time of day will help significantly. If you can run in a safe area, earlier is better. Although Injured, when I get back to running, I usually choose the cover of darkness.
